How to choose a SUITABLE pH Sensor

The ideal probe must first be chosen for accurate pH measurements. The following sample criteria should be taken into account:

1. Medium
2. Homogeneity
3. Process temperature and pressure
4. Container size range for pH

The decision becomes especially important for non-aqueous, poor conductivity, protein-rich, and viscous materials since these samples are prone to numerous causes of inaccuracy for general purpose pH sensor. A pH sensor accuracy and reaction time depend on a variety of variables. Aqueous solutions at normal temperature with a neutral pH and high conductivity may take longer to measure than those at extreme pH and temperature levels or in samples with low conductivity. The significance of the various sample types is outlined below using the various probe properties as a point of departure.
